At a Japanese festival, a man becomes enamored of a lovely dancer. He tries to get her attention by eagerly, awkwardly dancing with her, but is unexpectedly thwarted. At the festival's end, she departs, and he is alone and bereft. Yet the spirit of the dance has entered his soul, and with unconscious, ethereal grace, he begins dancing the Tanko Bushi.
